Benjamín Jordán, founding partner of Jordán, Barahona y Asociados, has vast experience in dispute resolution in labour, civil, business and arbitration matters.
He has represented clients from several areas such as finance, insurance,
health, fund managers, mortgage managers, real estate and construction
companies, among others, and has participated in proceedings before Arbitration
Courts, the Competition Court, the Constitutional Court, as well as before the
Ordinary Courts.
Prior to founding the firm, he was the Leading Lawyer of the Litigation Area of Fontaine & Cía. (2003-2009) and worked in the Litigation Area of the Controller’s Office of Banco de Chile, where he was in charge of the Litigation Area (1990-2003).
He is a member of the Cámara de Comercio de Santiago A.G. since 2014, and hold the position of Public Defender of Colina (1990-2015).
Lawyer of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1985), he has taken numerous courses on litigation matters at the same University, such as “Litigation in the New Labour Procedure” (2009); “New Criminal Procedure” (2003) and Diploma in “Recurso de Protección” at the Universidad Diego Portales (2001).
He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
