Jorge Barahona, founding partner of Jordán, Barahona y Asociados, specialises in labour, civil, business and arbitration trials. He has participated in several proceedings before the Ordinary and Arbitration Courts, as well as before the Competition Court, representing financial, insurance and health institutions, fund managers, mortgage managers, real estate and construction companies, among others.
Before founding the firm, he was a lawyer in the Judicial Area at Fontaine y Cía. (2004-2009) and worked at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banco de Chile (1998-2003).
Lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2004). Master (c) of Private Law, Universidad de Chile (2018). He has taken numerous courses such as: “Arbitration and Dispute Resolution” (2014), “Labour Law and Social Security in the Company” (2012), “New Trends in Tort Law and Contracts” (2010) and “Litigation in the New Labour Procedure” (2009), all at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
